Yep, and as I mentioned, Ann knows ALL ABOUT capitalism. She's playing the media like a fiddle. Wonder if she's donating any of the proceeds to charity?

That's why I like Ann. She's not afraid to say what's on her mind and be politically incorrect. I might have say something different about the Jersey Girls, but that's Ann. And her fans are proving that she's have a point with her book sales. That's what's great about capitalism.

Let me ask you something, Travis. Is it just possible that Ann could've taken a slightly different stance with this whole 9/11 widows issue? Let's pretend she had some kind of realization of the fact that she's supposed to be a Christian and said, "hmmm... I could directly attack these widows whom I hate so much and just come out and say they're witches or something, yeah... and say what I REALLY think which is that they're ENJOYING their husband's deaths, but I think that would probably be very hateful and distract from the actual message that I want to send, which is the notion that I think these women are using their husband's deaths as a political tool. Instead I think I'll gather my facts as best I can and lay out the premise that the moment their husbands died, they were ready to seize the opportunity and hire lawyers and such to politicize the issue at the moment the country was in mourning, and that they didn't even wait for anyone to get a grip on it, they started attacking immediately." Not that any of that's true, but you can see my point. My guess is that if she had taken that tack with her book, this whole blowup would never have happened on the Today show because there would never be anything so "controversial" to talk about other than her opinion that these women are "taking advantage" of their husbands' deaths. Couldn't that have been a controversial enough statement as it was?

No, she had to step WAY over the line for the sake of sensationalism and selling books, and call them hateful, spiteful names and say they're ENJOYING their husbands' deaths. Hateful, all of it. And clearly contrived to sell more books. I'm not saying she's a phony in her beliefs, I fully believe that she's as hateful, spiteful and jealous as all getout. I'm just saying that she could've been a bit nicer to people who have suffered so much, particularly when she has no idea what it's like to lose a husband.

And as far as driving up sales, that's what all these right-wing talk show hosts are for. This is why they say sensationalist things all the time -- for money. It gets them ratings, which gets them MONEY. It makes their stations money. I know of at least one person who listens regularly to Michael Savage not because he believes what Savage says, but because he knows Savage is a crazy loon who is bound to go off on something everytime he opens his mouth. It makes good radio (if you can stand it) and it makes good book sales. Sean uses his show to sell his books. O'Reilly does the same. So does mark Levin, who recently wrote a book about activist judges... Gotta love that one. Remember, true Constructionists would never have overturned a state issue and have installed a president. You wanna talk about activist judges...

Anyway, "hard proof" is in the sales numbers. You don't care about facts anyway.

You poor liberal. You hate it when a conservative like Ann Coulter have success despite attacks by the mainstream media. To suggest that Ann is using 9/11 as a promotional tool for her book is simply ridiculious. In case you didn't know, her last two books were best sellers just like this one. It's hardly unlikely she need any more controversy to help drive book sales but keep up the good work.

She, as well as Sean hannity and Rush Limbaugh, are more intelectually honest than most liberals like Hillary Clinton and stands by their convictions.

Unless you have any hard proof that Ann is a phony in her beliefs, I suggest you find another phony argument.

Travis, one of these days you're going to wake up. I just know it. "Some of them are so full of hatred of conservatives that they sounded stupid."

The right-wing has cornered the market on hate, and I know that you know it.. There's none left for us liberals.

Ann's motives have to be about money at this point. She keeps topping herself with outrageous, mean, hateful statements. Every time a new book comes out, it's time for a new round of hate spew. It's a pattern, and I'm glad that the media is finally realizing it... Even the conservative media.

<a href="http://quote.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=10000039&refer=columnist_carlson&sid=axcDhX0RSJpM" rel="nofollow">Bloomberg says "will do or say anything to feed her attention-addiction disorder."</a>.

The Huffington Post has a great <a href="http://www.huffingtonpost.com/barry-yourgrau/who-makes-money-off-ann-c_b_22473.html" rel="nofollow">blog entry about who is making money off Ann's outrageous statements</a>, and <a href="http://www.huffingtonpost.com/tony-hendra/god-to-ann-coulter-for-m_b_22445.html" rel="nofollow">another about how Ann is to Christianity what Bin Laden is to Islam</a>.

The Washington Post says <a href="http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/06/11/AR2006061100945.html" rel="nofollow">it's time to stop giving Ann Coulter a platform to "boost ratings and circulation."</a> I couldn't agree more. Proving the point, Coulter is quoted in the article as saying, "I'd say my 'name calling' has been a smashing success." That's an understatement. Ann is raking in the dough with this book and her latest round of hate spew, and according to someone whose name I didn't catch from Scarborough Country, her next book will undoubtedly have a first pressing of fifteen million copies. How's THAT for a money-making machine??

And last but not least, my favorite headline from the NY Daily News, <a href="http://www.nydailynews.com/06-09-2006/news/gossip/story/424996p-358516c.html" rel="nofollow">"Blather Sells, so Big Mouth Keeps On Shoveling</a>."

It's all about the money, Travis. Always was. I know you can see that. There is no denying it.

Oh please, Sean is fair and balanced in his treatment of his liberal guests. It's not his fault that some of them can't simply answer a yes or no question straight out, or some of them are so full of hatred of conservatives that they sounded stupid. On Hannity & Colmes the other night, he had a New Jersey politican who can't answer Sean's question on whether he agreed with Cindy Sheenan's vicious comments against the President. Also, Alan Colmes and the NJ politican had the audacity to question Ann's motives and suggested that she made those comments about the Jersey Girls to make money. That's just plain silly.

I can't wait to see her on The Tonight Show Wednesday. I bet she'll be great.
